This is the perfect kit for leatherworkers, bag makers and hobbyists! The Double-Cap Rivet Setting Tool Kit comes with all the tools you need to set double-cap rivets in leather and fabric applications. This kit sets rivet cap sizes 1/4" to 3/8". The anvil and rivet setter in the Rivet Installation Tool pair with a sturdy and comfortable mallet, hole cutter and cutting block.
Please Note: Double-cap rivets are not included in kit.
Two Sailrite®-exclusive tools are included in this must-have tool kit. The Sailrite® Bakelite Mallet 13 oz. mallet is ideal for punching holes, stamping and carving. It's a great addition to your workshop. The Sailrite® Cutting Block & Die Holder is a handy, compact size cutting block with two surfaces. The gray block is a hard plastic and the black surface is a rubber cutting pad. With two surfaces, you can use this cutting block for a variety of hole cutting, stamping and DIY needs.
How to Set a Rivet: Place the cutting block under your application to protect your work surface. Use the hole cutter and mallet to punch a hole in your application. Place the double-cap rivet onto the concave side of the anvil with the post facing up. Place your material over the post and push through the post. Place the other rivet cap onto the post and hold it in place with the concave end of the rivet setter. Firmly set the double-cap rivet with several blows of a mallet.
