Sailrite's SnapRite® Button Die is a uniquely designed die that screws into the end of a standard rivet tool to quickly install a button in a cloth-to-cloth or cloth-to-surface application. The die holds the button firmly in place so it won’t get lost during installation. This die requires the use of a SnapRite Button (for use with mandrel).
The SnapRite Button Die is part of the SnapRite System that turns many standard rivet tools (we recommend the Professional Rivet Installation Tool, #103520) into a snap installation tool. The SnapRite System utilizes four unique dies that work in conjunction with each other to quickly and accurately install snap fasteners. This revolutionary system allows for installation on site, and works with DOT® snaps, Pull-the-DOT®, gypsy studs, and stainless steel snaps.

The SnapRite System requires the use of SnapRite Buttons and SnapRite Gypsy Studs (for use with mandrel). Other components can be any type in Line 24 size (most common size where button top measures 5/8" diameter).
The SnapRite Button Die is designed to be paired with the SnapRite Socket Die for cloth-to-cloth or cloth-to-surface applications. To use, screw the Button Die onto the end of a standard rivet tool. Press a SnapRite button into the die. The rivet tool will go over a mandrel and rivet the button to a standard socket with fabric in-between.
How the SnapRite® System Works for this Die
Female Components: The SnapRite Button Die and snap component are installed on the rivet gun’s nosepiece. The mating snap component is placed on the SnapRite Socket Die and a mandrel put through the center hole of the die. The rivet tool grabs onto the mandrel that has been pressed through the fabric, pulling the two SnapRite dies together and flaring the barrel of the button to create a tightly installed snap fastener. This completed assembly is the female button/socket. It can now be snapped to a surface mounted stud, or to a stud/eyelet male assembly.
Compatibility Requirement: This Button Die is only compatible with buttons that have a hole in the cap. The hole is necessary to accommodate the die's mandrel.
